Into the Wild
Adventures Await

As we bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026, I wanted to share an exciting Monroe Wildlife Area announcement.
For those who haven’t yet heard the news…

Through the National Wildlife Federation,
The Monroe Wildlife Area is now officially CERTIFIED !

This has been an undertaking I contemplated pursuing for a number of years. As I looked into it, I realized that through my 35 year Monroe Wildlife Area habitat management endeavors & efforts, I had, without knowing it, met nearly all the criteria.

So I downloaded the application, filled it out & submitted it. Shortly thereafter, I received notice that my application had been approved. My Monroe Wildlife Area is now an officially Certified Wildlife Habitat site with the National Wildlife Federation. I even have my own wildlife habitat ID #.
I’m still awaiting my official certificate, but I am so excited by this development that I decided to welcome in the new year by sharing the news.
In celelebration, I’ve begun snowblowing & maintaining my winter wildlife habitat walking trail.

I don’t know why I didn’t start doing this a long time ago. (Well, actually, I do. My new 30″ Ariens Deluxe “King of Snow” is a game changing BEAST!)
Speaking of beasts!

At any rate, my new winter walking trail has been a big hit!

Everyone loves it.
Especially my PAW Patrol!

So as we finish trekking 2025’s trail

And begin our 2026 journey

I can only predict one thing about what lies ahead.
Here at The Monroe Wildlife Area,
It’s gonna be WILD!

I can make that prediction with authority now.
Because I’m officially CERTIFIED!

Until Our Trails Cross Again:
Happy 2026
May your adventures be WILD!
