Winter’s Water
Posted On February 9, 2023
I might be crazy
Folks may think I’m insane
Watching my winter’s raindrop chats
Be that as it may
I’ve discovered one truth
Through ebb and flow of life’s time
The secret to fathoming
Lifequest dreams and desires
Is to walk winter’s water
Sharing hope with the rain

Yes…right there with you! Every morning and night I go for a walk with our Border Collie “Shadow”. It is now light enough when we get home from work to enjoy the scenery. After several days of warmer weather blowing up from the south only the woods have retained the white stuff. The clear water flows gently over the submerged ice and the dark green moss on an old tree remnant contrasts against the snow. I sit on a fallen tree while shadow investigates in ever increasing circles, stopping here and there to check where I am. I could stay here all night. Soon though, the coolness sets in and I know Winona is busy fixing dinner. I give a whistle and Shadow responds from somewhere and is by my side. Praise God as I am told it’s his creation.
What a beautiful blend of words and pictures! Thought-provoking and serene. Your property has a different cloak for every season!

HI Aunt Susie! Good thing I took those pics yesterday! Massive thaw overnight. Most of that snow is now GONE! I hear a rumor you folks will soon be making a road trip up north. Safe travels for your trip. I think Robin is planning on linking up with you then.
